School Show

Every year, 4th year students will get the wonderful opportunity to put on a school show. This year’s show was Peter Pan, taking a well-known fairytale and turning it into a brilliantly Cork-themed Panto full of comedy, singing and dancing. Showcased to primary schools in the area as well as parents, students, staff and the wider community, the school show is an amazing way to get involved and bring out every student’s unique ability.

4th Year Prom

Our 4th Year Prom is one of the highlights of the school calendar – a fantastic evening where students get to dress up (black-tie style), celebrate and make lasting memories with their friends. Held on school grounds and fully supervised, the event offers all the excitement of a traditional ‘prom’ in a safe and welcoming environment. With a DJ, lit-up dance floor, food and plenty of fun, it’s a wonderful way for students to mark a unique and rewarding year together.

Fear Park

Every October, Coláiste Éamann Rís transforms into Fear Park, a haunted house experience. Created by our students and the wider school community, this annual Halloween event is packed with spooky surprises, eerie effects and spine-tingling fun that’s guaranteed to thrill.
Open to the public, Fear Park is a much-loved tradition that brings families together for a night of frightful entertainment, whilst also raising valuable funds to support our school. It’s a brilliant way for students to get creative, work as a team and showcase their talents.

Reindeer Park

Our annual Christmas Fair, Reindeer Park, takes place in December in the school hall. Student-made gifts and festive crafts are on display as well as stalls selling handcrafted items ranging from tree ornaments to knitted accessories. Santa always makes a special appearance at Reindeer Park, making it an unforgettable evening for all the family.

Christmas Feast and Blessed Edmund Rice Celebration

Coláiste Éamann Rís also celebrates Christmas on the day before our Christmas Exams commence. During this celebration, students first attend mass together before sitting together for a full Christmas dinner served by our teachers. In a similar way, our school celebrates the Feast Day of Blessed Edmund Rice (May 5th) by recognising the achievements of our students at a whole school awards ceremony. Following the awards, students will be treated to an activity/sports day and a BBQ on the school grounds! (Exam students may attend sponsored study instead).
